*Municipal Elections Edition*

Many of Carroll County’s municipal governments will hold elections in May for Mayoral and Council positions. They will be held as follows:
Hampstead: Tuesday, May 14, 7 AM to 8 PM, selecting Mayor and 2 Council seats. Learn more.
Manchester: Tuesday, May 21, 7 AM to 8 PM, selecting Mayor and 2 Council seats. Learn more.
Mount Airy: Monday, May 6, 7 AM to 8 PM, selecting 3 Town Council seats. Learn more.
New Windsor: Tuesday, May 14, 7 AM to 8 PM, selecting 3 Town Council seats. Learn more.
Sykesville: Tuesday, May 7, 8 AM to 8 PM, selecting 3 Town Council seats. Learn more.
Taneytown: Monday, May 6, 7 AM to 7 PM, selecting Mayor and two Council seats. Learn more.

Join Us at NAR’s Legislative Conference & Trade Expo

The National Association’s Annual Legislative Meetings and Trade Expo will take place the week of May 13 through 18. REALTORS® from around the nation will gather in Washington, DC, for Capitol Hill visits, special issues forums, committee meetings, legislative activities and the industry trade show.

Wednesday, May 15 is REALTOR® Day on the Hill, featuring visits with Maryland’s Congressional Delegation between 1 PM and 5 PM. To attend these visits, register with the Maryland REALTORS® here.

The NAR Meetings and Expo are FREE for REALTOR® members but registration is required. CCR hopes to see you there!

Around the County:

  • County Commissioner Eric Bouchat (District 4) will host a panel discussion on Charter Government on May 28. This will be followed by a June 11 Forum which will give an overview of all three types of local government in Maryland.
  • Carroll County’s Planning Commission will soon release updates to its residential zoning text. You can follow their progress and learn more about future outreach sessions at carrollrezoning.org.
